Busy morning

Haven’t had time this morning to do my usual check of tech blogs and tech news to see what’s going on. Had to do billing first thing this morning, had some issues with one of the printers, and, in turn, had some issues with printer drivers on one of the PC’s after I got the printer operating properly again.

On the other hand, maybe it’s just me, but the tech news of late hasn’t really been all that interesting. I’m actually not that interested in it. I find myself doing other things instead. Probably just the way things are in summer time, there’s so many other things to do that tech just becomes more of a job than usual.

Or at…

It’s hard to believe, I know, but today marks the 10 month mark of working at the law firm instead of being the one man IT Department that I was before. It seems about as good a time as any to do a little reflecting on the plusses and minuses to working as part of…

The other day I saw a PC that had been completely overrun with trojans, virii, and spyware. I won’t say where I saw this particular PC, but suffice it to say it had all the appropriate software installed originally to keep this from happening. However, after cleaning up the trojan that had the AV disabled,…
