Is Chrome A Little Too Secure?

Sure, I get why Google would make certain features available in Chrome and try to protect it’s users from phishing, browser highjacking, and drive by download attempts.

But one of the security features also assures that I have to keep some other browser available on any machine. When staying at a hotel or other place that has a public wireless connection, that uses browser redirects to connect to their local server and log you in to the connection, just try getting Chrome to take you to the login page. 😉

I appreciate the protection, but when I can’t do something I need to do, it’s not so much a “feature” any more.
