Linked – Fake Obama speech is the beginning of the end of video evidence
I don’t think we are quite at the point where video evidence is dead, but the “fake” Obama video is pretty realistic and would take some serious analysis to show that it is a fake, and when we can’t even be bothered to read news articles before they go viral, how much damage could be done with current video technology? Let alone what will happen as it continually improves.
I don’t want to get all conspiracy theory on you, but a little skepticism might be a good thing, especially if something seems to agree with your worldview a little too much. You don’t want to become the friend known for sharing fake news, do you?
