Excel Tutorials

In Litigation Support, there are times when you are forced to manipulate data. Sometimes, a lot of data. While we all wish eDiscovery would just come in clean, easy to use, load files with metadata displayed properly all the time, reality is a different story. So, occasionally, we have to resort to dealing with lots of fields in a spreadsheet, and then we get to recall some of our favorite Excel formulas and functions!

Just the other day, for example, I found myself trying to compare data across multiple CSV files using the VLOOKUP function in Excel. Good times, good times. 😉

Of course, this doesn’t happen all the time, so it when you find yourself needing something like that, you usually end up referring to Google or some other source for the proper way to use the function. So, it was interesting to get an email recently about an Excel tutorial, which even had a section on VLOOKUP.

Cool. Might be something to keep in the toolbox.
