Linked – Spotify Stops Promoting “Harmful or Hateful” Artists
So, this is true, even if it’s just R. Kelly currently.

For the record, I’m a Spotify customer, and I have never once gone out of my way to listen to R Kelly. As far as I’m concerned they’re a public company free to promote or hide whomever they like. But, I do think it will be really interesting if/when Spotify figures out how many 13-14 year old groupies were involved with bands in the 60s-70s. I mean the stories about Page/Plant, Bowie, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The New York Dolls, etc. giving drugs to, and having sex with, underage girls are not exactly a secret. There have been books written about it, by people who were involved.
I wonder who’ll be left for them to actually promote by the time this finishes, assuming they want to be consistent?

Update – Calling for Spotify to stop promoting other artists, like Eminem, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, has begun.
