I have to thank my wife for finding this site the other night when she was Googling for some Excel tutorials. It’s done by the Goodwill Community Foundation and it not only has tutorials on tech topics like Excel, Gmail, and Internet Safety, but they also cover a range of topics involved with job searching, personal finance, health, etc.
It might be worth keeping it handy for yourself, or to help with anyone you know who could use the help.
Chris is right about this, as eDiscovery tools and skills become more and more focused on “finding the right information”, they cross over into a lot of other areas, investigations, information governance, HR, and on and on. “The object lesson for lawyers? My hypothesis, and the reason for my list above, is that leaders don’t talk about being leaders any more than brilliant people talk about being smart or kind people talk about being kind. They just do it, and it shows. Leaders set the example, help others succeed, and solve problems. They share credit and take the blame. They are constantly learning from others instead of setting themselves apart. People follow them because of those characteristics. These are people you want to follow. They don’t have to raise a flag and beg people to follow them any more than the most intelligent people have to remind you of how smart they are. Their actions show it.

I still think many of us could learn something from the French, and Europe in general, about where our jobs fit into the fuller picture of our lives. If you aren’t making time to “live,” what’s the point of all that time spent at our jobs?
This is actually pretty cool. “The web browser, Brave, now has a feature that revives dead web pages with the help of Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine which stores snapshots of billions of web pages. As time goes on, more and more pages go offline and can cause a bit of a headache for those who…
