I’ve been saying it for a little while now, but I think this really cements it for me, your data has already been breached somewhere. Whether you know your personal information was involved in a public breach, or you’ve somehow managed to avoid that thus far, there is still a whole bunch of ransomware and other breaches that we don’t know anything about:
One-third (32%) of enterprises experienced a six-figure breach last year and well over half (61%) of business owners admitted to concealing a breach, according to the findings from a global survey of over 1,400 IT decision-makers at large organizations by cybersecurity firm Arctic Wolf.
Ransomware and other threats are popular because they work. Period. That’s not going away anytime soon.
