The reality is, deep fakes are getting better and better every day. We are going to have to figure out how to deal with them in terms of news coverage of events, and even in the area of phishing phone calls.
Phishing through email works because it’s easy to send thousands of emails, and if even a small percentage of people fall for it, there’s a ton of money in it. All it takes is a few folks falling for deep fake phone calls, and we’ll be right there in the same place.
