Worth Reading – Don’t Let AI Transcription Sink Your Ship
I feel like this shouldn’t need to be said. Yet, I find myself saying it often. With the rise of AI Note-takers joining meetings and immediately taking notes or starting transcription, there is no off-the-record in an online meeting. Instead, there is a very high likelihood that some AI tool is writing down everything you say in meetings at work.
That can be beneficial. It’s an excellent record of who said what and why. It’s also a risk.
The article below states that many of these meetings may be recorded or transcribed without the attendees’ knowledge.
Don’t do that. That’s not cool, and it might be illegal depending on where the attendees are!
We should always be thoughtful about what we say in meetings and how we say it. It’s just being professional, and now that we can also assume there will be a record of it, we have yet another reason!
