Worth Reading – AI Can Accelerate a Culture—Good or Bad

This is one way to look at why your AI rollout may be a flop:

A tool that increases the speed of execution does not know whether the underlying organizational behavior is healthy.

I suspect far too many organizations are rolling out AI to automate a broken process, and now it’s still broken; it just automates the broken bits.

We all know you get more of what you measure. For example, if you measure tech support performance by the number of tickets closed, you’ll get more tickets closed, not solutions implemented. If your metric is hours, you’ll get more hours, etc. The same might hold true of AI. You’ll get more of something, but it might be more of poor substitutes instead of the things that really move your business forward.

Frankly, AI will be an expensive way to learn that your underlying processes or data were suspect all along.
