Ick Saw this story over at Just Another Geek's blog about knowing a few minutes ahead of time that someone's going to get fired and having to slide into their office and disconnect them from the network while they're being fired in another office. I've had to do that, and it sucks. I work in a small office, 24 employees total, so not only are you dealing with something that hits all of them hard, you have to know about it, and sneak around doing some "out of the ordinary" things without telling anyone about it. You also have to get in and get out quickly. Any delay in getting the disconnect done and you could be sitting at their desk when they get finished being fired and come back to collect their things, and that's not going to be a comfortable situation! No, it's certainly not something I relish having to do again someday. But I suppose it'll happen, eventually. Digg this | Post to del.icio.us| FaceBook | Stumble Upon| Google Bookmark|
