Using Blogtrack

ByMike McBride January 23, 2002July 23, 2015 Reading Time: 1 minute

Frank Mcpherson picked up on my rant about the clutter at Weblogs.com. He’s going to give Blogtrack a try. Let us know how it goes Frank! As for my own opinion, I like it. It’s a bit slow to check for updates but I can live with that and plan around it. It’s not a bad place for me to go while at work and just see who’s updated today without going through a bunch of sites, ya’ know? It’s not the best thing since sliced bread, but it serves it’s purpose pretty well.

That post I wrote last week about the dearth of good management in the business world generated a lot of feedback. I heard from a bunch of people who agreed with what I had to say. Interestingly, while I heard back from folks on Twitter about the post, on Facebook and even in person, there…

So, starting tonight the “links of the day” post should make it’s reappearance in the RSS feed again. Enjoy! Tags: Delicious, Feedburner, RSS Follow these…

You Might Be A Social Network Nerd
ByMike McBride July 8, 2015 Reading Time: 1 minute

Actual comment I made, in real life, over the weekend: “They know they can just make their own Facebook Page, right? I mean it’s easy, it’s free, heck I have four of them.” Sadly, this would make sense if I were in marketing, or running social media for a brand other than myself, but that…

And this same song and dance will repeat for every single site on the internet until there’s very little left. The only companies with enough resources to actually do all the things that would be required to monitor all content, ironically, would be Google, Facebook, etc.

Gee, it’s almost like giving them a gift, eliminating ALL of the competition. It’s no wonder Facebook has been asking for regulation. They know the rest of us won’t be able to keep up.
