Mental health thought of the day…

Yes, it’s election day. Yes, that is probably all you will hear about all day and all night, unless, like me, you have planned a wonderful evening of novel reading, software installation, or other non-media consumption activities.

Just remember, no matter what happens today, tonight, or into the next few days, you will still be getting up and going to the same job tomorrow that you did today, you’ll still go home to the same place, live your lives with the same people, and do all the things you did before election day. Your guy winning won’t solve all of your problems, and your guy losing won’t cause the earth to fall out of it’s orbit and turn directly into the sun.

Which one do you think will make for better engaged, mentally healthy, employees?

Someone managed to pick the “delete all” option on the camera menu when she was trying to delete one picture that hadn’t turned out very well. I…

  • Random questions

Just some things I have questions about, that I’m hoping maybe some of my readers might have some information on. Warning, some of them may be obvious, I’m just having trouble finding the obvious solution! – Why does Gmail sometimes take two attachments that I send with an email and mash them into one DAT…

  • One of those days

Just a typical IT day, you’re trying to reconfigure a machine and get it moved, as an improvement for one of your users, but you get sidetracked when your boss comes running into your office, accounting reports falling out of her hands, asking you to investigate a missing payment from the database! Turns out someone…

  • It’s still around

File this under the headline of “old hoaxes never die”. I’ve been dealing with the jdbgmgr.exe hoax this morning. Apparently, someone with another organization fell for this one and passed it on. You should see the “to” line of the email. There are more addresses there than I care to even guess at. Let me…
