Movable Type version 3.14, in which SixApart try to lessen the server load caused by comment spam.

Autoruns 6.1

Trillian 3.0, which I’ve been using for a couple of days and like, as always. If you’re running three different IM clients, you should think about trying it out. You’ll lose some of the more advanced features, but this version gets closer with audio chat and Yahoo! Chat integration, and you’ll only have to run one program! The Pro (paid) version also includes video chat and some of the more deeply integrated IM services. More here.

Linked – MailChimp and Others Should Penalize Cold Emails

This caught my interest – Let’s penalize cold emails. If a recipient chooses, “I never signed up for this mailing list,” I think MailChimp and other email providers should penalize the sender, too. • Outlook Today problem

I don’t honestly believe any one else in our office has ever used the Outlook Today screen in Outlook 2000 before now, but if anyone tries to again and runs into the same problem of clicking on the “Customize Outlook Today” button and nothing happens, I know what the workaround is! • Attracting the wrong attention

Apparently, putting IE7 as a Technorati tag attracts the attention of someone from ieproviders.com, who leaves comments about the search providers you can plug into the search bar in IE7 even when that particular post has nothing to do with searching. So I’m giving them the attention they crave over there, by exposing them. 🙂…

  • Lightbulb moments

I’m sure by now we’ve all heard the horror stories of working on a helpdesk, and after 7 plus months working on one I can totally see exactly where they’re coming from, and even have a few of my own. On the other hand, one thing that I get working on a helpdesk far more…
