Google’s Indexing Fast!

Just how fast does Google index web pages? I don’t know for sure, but I do know that I posted a book review on the other blog, at 9:10 PM this evening, and saw in my referrer logs someone come from a Google Search for the author and title of the book less than an hour later.

Yes, it was a generic Google search as well, not a blog search, and since it’s actually about the 84th result you get from that search, I assume it was indexed well before the searcher actually followed the link.

Google really is all-powerful, isn’t it? 😉

IPRO Jumping on the Social Media Bandwagon?

It would appear that way. The IPROTech Twitter account showed up in my Twitter followers today, and they pointed to the brand new IPROTech blog. It’s always interesting when the folks behind a product you use on a regular basis join the SM fray. I’m going to be paying attention, and see if they put…

  • This Blog Post Was Not Written Using AI

I’m online to connect with other real people and the ideas that live in their heads. I write to share those ideas with others, but I also write because writing helps clarify my thoughts and ideas. It’s practice for the many times I find myself needing to go into more detail and flesh out ideas in front of other people. Asking a chatbot to write this post wouldn’t give me mental exercise. It would remove the challenge of figuring out what I want to say and how I want to say it.

  • Become a Fan

One of the suggestions about sharing your blog was to create a Facebook fan page for it. So I did. You can become a fan of this blog on Facebook now, see the latest posts, and have discussions with other readers who are on Facebook, without actually having to “friend” me to do it. 🙂…

    New Email Subscription Option

If you’re interested in keeping up with new posts here, and potentially a few other things that I have in mind, I’m adding a new email subscription service though Mailchimp. [mc4wp_form] Of course, you could also follow the blog on Twitter or Facebook as well, if that’s your thing. (Or both since I usually don’t…

Sharing Photos Here There and Everywhere

So, if I used Photosync to automatically sync photos I upload to Flickr with Facebook, and then used Move2Picasa to copy my Facebook photos into Picasa/Google Plus, I could pretty much share my photos with people no matter where they follow me, right? The larger question is whether it’s worth my time and effort though….
