There have been over 30 million people in the US who’ve lost their jobs in that last couple of months. I know more than a few. I’m sure you do too, if you aren’t one yourself.
I’m sure many of them live in towns where it’s going to be difficult to find anything equivalent, small cities like where I live in Baton Rouge, or even larger cities where they worked in a smaller industry.
I’m sure we are also all becoming more and more aware of how much of our “work” can get done even if we aren’t in the same office space very often.
Some smart company is going to put that together and be able to pick a veritable All-Star lineup of talented professionals just by offering them the opportunity to stay where they are.
If you are a hiring manager, go ahead and steal that idea. It’s not a new one, but it’s maybe even more powerful right at this time.
