Older ICQ software vulnerable to attack

Gee and it’s not even a Microsoft product..*L* Seriously though, if you’re still using an older version, grab the new one. Or think about getting Trillian , which is what I’m using.

While you’re being careful, you want to be on the lookout for the Gigger virus. Haven’t seen it come in anywhere yet, but it never hurts to be aware.

    Is it reliable?

I wrote yesterday on the Friends in Tech blog, about why I don’t rely on on-line Office Suites, but here’s a similar thought. I had to laugh when reading this column comparing blackberry users to smokers, in terms of the annoyance caused. As a blackberry user myself, it got my attention, but as I read it I realized that this was basically the same column I’ve read about cell phone users, and the bottom line was the same….
