Are we still discussing this?

I see the full-feed/partial-feed debate has risen it’s ugly head again. Oh joy, just when I thought I might have missed something while I was toiling in the land of dialup at my in-laws all weekend, and then driving home today.

Nope, same old crap. People with advertising, who are worried about the money they may or may not be making from their sites don’t want to give me full feeds. This, my friends, is why I have no plans to do anything like Google Ad-sense or any of that other junk here. I have this site for my own enjoyment, my own education. I pay for it myself, and if it ever gets to a point where the enjoyment is less than the cost of having it, I’ll stop. This isn’t my job, I already have a job. I already have a side consulting gig temporarily, too. If I tried to make this another job, I’d go insane and my wife would probably kill me, not necessarily in that order. This is fun. Reading blogs is fun. Reading blogs takes up less time when they have full feeds, hence, I am more likely to read a blog that does. If that bothers you, I don’t care. If you feel like I’m stealing your content by reading it without ever seeing your ads, let me know. I’ll be more than happy to quit reading it, and read someone else’s.

Ever hear one of those really high pitched grinding noises? It took two overtimes, a bunch of ugly offense, great defense, a few controversial calls, a 16 yard pass on 4th and 14 in the first overtime, and last ditch pass on 4th down from the OSU 1 by Miami in the second, but in the end the Ohio State Buckeyes pulled off the upset,…

Non-Scoble items for today… 🙂 BTW, on a slightly related note, I did make a recommendation about a product once where I looked at enthusiast sites and journalist sites and took their word for it.
