Linked – Facebook Sued for Traumatizing Content Moderators With Graphic Images
There is no question this is a difficult job.
“A class action alleges that Facebook Inc. fails to provide a safe workplace for content moderators who suffer from psychological trauma relating to their jobs of weeding out graphic content depicting child abuse, suicide and other violent events.”
The suit claims that Facebook didn’t take the normal steps to protect the moderators, and didn’t provide them with proper training and mental health resources. If true, that is inexcusable. We know how traumatic this type of work can be, putting people into that kind of role without the proper support in place is cruel.
