This seems to be happening a lot:
“A coordinated ransomware attack has affected at least 20 local government entities in Texas, the Texas Department of Information Resources said. It would not release information about which local governments have been affected.”
I’ve seen numerous stories in recent days about local governments, school districts, etc. getting socked with ransomware, aka places that don’t really have a ton of cyber defense resources, but control a whole lot of what goes on in our day to day lives.
Maybe it’s time to change that equation in one direction or the other?
