Blogger survey

Blogger is currently running a survey of it’s users. There are questions about you, your blogging habits, how you started blogging and whether you’ve told others about it, rating things you’d like to be able to do easier and about using news aggregators. Pretty run of the mill stuff, only took me about 5 minutes. I think they should have given you the option to write-in features you want but I guess we already have the ability to put in a feature request in their support system, so I could see not putting it in there. If you use blogger, you’ll see the link on the page where you can edit or post to your blog.

Not sure what Google is trying to get at with this survey but it’ll be interesting to keep an eye on.

Thanks for all the suggestions on a new name. Turns out that rather than just go with one of those suggestions, I’m leaning toward combining two of them and thusly, giving away two PC World subscriptions, assuming that Toby, who left one of those suggestions, will take the time to send me an email so…

Looks like I wasn’t the only one trying out Knoppix yesterday. Library Planet had this to say: This goes way beyond DemoLinux. I stuck the CD in, re-booted, and had to hit enter one time to get it started. It identified all the hardware with no user intervention and booted right up. Thanks to a…

After downloading and installing the MS anti-spyware app, well it does work. Of course, being a somewhat careful surfer, the only place I notice it working is in the same areas that SP2 already took care of on XP, because the laptop I loaded it on is 2000. It asked me to shut down the…

  • A BlogDebate, eh?

More from Scoble: Well, usually where I have lunch there isn’t an 802.11 connection around. If there were, I’d seriously consider blogging it pretty close to live. Wow, maybe in Silicon Valley it’s not considered rude, but here in the rest of the world (Where 95% of the people do not blog) pulling out your…

  • Important IT lessons

I re-learned two important IT lessons today. One occurred after we got up this morning to take a trip to the Zoo. I had gotten a new camera bag for my birthday, and spent a fair amount of time fitting the Nikon D50 into the bag, along with the extra zoom lens, and a few…

Linked: How Slack impacts workplace productivity

Apparently, it’s a never ending problem. Offices got phones so people could communicate, but too many people spent too much time on the phone. Then it was email, then it was the open office, now it’s Slack, Teams, etc. ““By lowering the barrier to initiate communication, the hidden side effect is that Slack has the…
